CTE Eligible Days and Contact Hours Post 2021

Summary: This report displays career and technical education eligible days and contact hours by service ID for each six weeks.

Note: This report starts with the 2021-2022 school year when CTE eligible days present started being reported by Service ID.

Usage: Review report to verify proper coding of career and technical education V codes across six weeks to ensure full CTE funding. It can also be used to look longitudinally across years for reasonableness.

Special Notes:

• Your Student Information System has to be reporting the new CTE subcomplex type for this report to work.
• 2021-2022 COVID-19 Remote Attendance Adjustments:
  • Includes RS and RA V code eligible days present
• Color coding used to denote which Tier a row’s Service ID belongs to:
  • Blue – Tier 1 – Not an Approved Program of Study
  • Green – Tier 2 – Levels 1 & 2 in an Approved Program of Study
  • Beige – Tier 3 – Levels 3 & 4 in an Approved Program of Study

Definitions:

• CTE V Code – V1, V2, V3 depending on Eligible Days Present
• Service ID – E0724 (C022)
• Inst Track – E0975
• Fund Level – Calculated based on the Service ID Level (based on POS Service ID Level Credit tab and Non-POS CTE Service IDS tab from the CTE AutoCalculation Source Data resource found on the TEA documentation site https://www.texasstudentdatasystem.org/tsds/education-data-warehouse/peims-calculations-tech-tips )
  • L12 – Level 1&2 (Program of Study Level = 1 or 2)
  • L34 – Level 3&4 (Program of Study Level = 3 or 4)
  • ND – CTE Course with No Service ID Level (Non-POS CTE Service IDs tab)

Calculations:

• Eligible Days Present by Reporting Period and Total (cumulative year to date)
  • V1 – E0950 + E1696 + E1702
  • V2 – E0951 + E1697 + E1703
  • V3 – E0952 + E1698 + E1704

• Contact Hours by Reporting Period and Total (cumulative year to date)
  • Eligible Days Present * V Code
• Sub totals on Eligible Days Present and Contact Hours included at change in CTE V Code and Funding Level
• Tier level sub totals and Grand Total of Tiers 1-3 included
