Discipline Action Reason Student Counts and Days by Gender/Ethn/Spec Pops

Report Location: Student>Student Custom Reports>Discipline Reports>Special Programs

Summary: This report displays counts of students who have been reported with the selected action reason code(s) – default is codes 21-Violation Of Student Code Of Conduct. The counts are listed by campus then grouped by gender and ethnicity and include unique student counts, total days assigned, and total days served for each group and for special programs.

Usage: Review information for accurate counts and use drill downs to display detailed student lists. Report can also be used to see how many days assigned and how many days actually served for different action reason codes and special program groups for various data requests.

Special Note:

  • CTE is not calculated for the 2020-2021 school year due to the transition from CTE codes last used 2019-2020 to CTE attendance which began 2021-2022.

Definitions and Calculations:

  • SC – Student Count based on unique students involved in the selected Disciplinary Action Reason Code (E1006) from the Student Discipline Incident Association Extension Complex Type
  • DA – Days Assigned totaled for all incidents with the selected Disciplinary Action Reason Code (E1006) using Official Length of Disciplinary Assignment (E1007) from the Discipline Action Extension Complex Type
  • DS – Days Served totaled for all incidents with the selected Disciplinary Action Reason Code (E1006) using Actual Length of Disciplinary Assignment (E1008) from the Discipline Action Extension Complex Type
  • Special Education – E0794 C088 SPECIAL-ED-INDICATOR-CODE TX = 1
  • Emergent Bilingual – E0790 C061 EMERGENT-BILINGUAL-INDICATOR-CODE = 1
    • Note: Prior to 2021-2022 labeled LEP
  • CTE Attendance – 2021-2022 and Beyond:
    • At least one CTE Attendance 42410 record
  • CTE – Prior 2020-2021:
    • E0031 C142 CAREER-AND-TECHNICAL-ED-IND-CD = 1, 2 or 3
  • Eco Dis – E0785 C054 ECONOMIC-DISADVANTAGE-CODE = 01, 02, or 99
  • GT – E0034 C088 GIFTED-TALENTED-INDICATOR-CODE = 1
