Location: Accountability < Accountability Connect

The Estimated Progress in Achieving EL Proficiency report provides a preview of the English Learner (EL) Proficiency component used in Domain 3: Closing the Gaps for Texas A–F Accountability.

The report evaluates annual progress toward English language proficiency by analyzing changes in Composite TELPAS and TELPAS Alt ratings between the current and prior year.

  • Eligible EL Students = Students with current and prior year TELPAS or TELPAS Alt ratings included in the calculation.

The EL Proficiency measure is evaluated only when there are 10 or more eligible students.
