- Clarification for the TEA Ed-Fi IODS Connection screen
- For Ed-Fi 2026-2027 tab, clicking Update / Sync does two things:
- Validates the key/secret against TEA before saving. If the key/secret is bad (or TEA rejects authentication), the save fails with an error to know that your credentials are invalid.
- Starts a one-time pull after a successful save. That is not the scheduled nightly pull, and it is not the red Full Pull button (currently disabled).
- What is currently turned off due to TEA’s 2027 API not yet accepting authentication:
- Nightly / automatic scheduled pulls
- The Full Pull button
- For Ed-Fi 2026-2027 tab, clicking Update / Sync does two things:

- Ed-Fi nightly pulls are currently disabled. Testing has found that TEA is not yet accepting access to the IODS landing zone.
8/4/2026
- Update on the TEA Ed-Fi IODS Connection screen. When you put in your Key/Secret, the system will now test the connection.
PEIMS Attendance Promotion has been released based upon 25-26 Promotion Logic. Once TEA posts the 26-27 PEIMS Attendance promotion logic https://www.texasstudentdatasystem.org/tsds/about/data-collection-documentation, any new elements, entities, rules, etc for this submission will not be available for 26-27.

- TEA Ed-Fi IODS Connection now has an Ed-Fi 2026-2027 tab to save your key/secret. Currently, it does no checking of connection and promotions are not yet available. In the coming weeks, you should see the following promotions (we will post here as they become available):
- PEIMS Attendance (pending TEA release of 26-27 Promotion Logic updates, this is a rollover of existing 25-26 Promotion Logic).
- PEIMS Fall Enrollment (New Submission as of 26-27)
- Review the Latest TEA Ed-Fi IODS Pull log once promotions are available to ensure the key/secret entered is working.
