Working Submission

A Working Submission allows districts to submit corrected or additional prior-year CCMR data outside the standard PEIMS submission timeline.

  • These submissions are now used in accountability calculations starting in 2026
  • They apply only to CCMR indicators
  • They must be submitted within the designated Working Submission window

OnDataSuite will be able to track these changes through the supplemental file

TEA Letter

FAQ — From TEA Performance reporting about will the working submission be in the verifier file or count for accountability

Best Practice: Using “W” in Supplemental File Uploads

When uploading a supplemental file tied to a Working Submission:

Step 1: Add “W” to the Indicator in the Excel template

  • This indicates the data is tied to a Working Submission (not original PEIMS)
  • Since the CCMR EWS Supplemental file is a wipe and replace, it is highly recommended to keep Ws in the indicators for several years for historical knowledge of what was accepted by TEA for accountability purposes.

Indicators that will accept a W

  • Industry-Based Certification (IBCs) including Program of Study Completer status
  • Diploma Type values for reported graduates with completed IEP and workforce readiness
  • College Prep Course Completion
  • Dual Credit completions
  • Diploma Type and endorsement values for reported graduates earning an advanced diploma and who were served within Special Education Programs
  • Associate Degree attainment

✅ Step 2: Document the Submission Date in Notes

In the Notes field, always include:

  • The date the Working Submission was uploaded to TEA
  • Optional: brief description of correction

Example Notes:

  • W Submission uploaded to TEA – 04/15/2026
  • W Submission (Dual Credit correction) sent 04/15/2026
  • Working Submission – IBC fix – 04/15/2026

Why This Matters

This simple process supports:

Internal Tracking

  • Easily identify which records are tied to Working Submissions
  • Track timing relative to Verifier window deadlines

📊 Accountability Alignment

  • Confirms data aligns with TEA submission timelines
  • Helps ensure corrections are considered in CCMR calculations
