Domain I Student Achievement

Please note that the A-F Domain reports should be considered preliminary at this time, as they are based on the Texas Education Agency (TEA)’s draft methodology, which is still subject to change. Once the TEA releases the final accountability manual, we will conduct a thorough review and analysis to ensure our projections align.

As we review initial STAAR data, we want to ensure everyone is clear about the metrics we are using. TEA has indicated that the finalized 2026 cut points will not be available until mid-summer. Early results will only provide broad labels (Likely Passed, Zone of Uncertainty, Likely Did Not Pass), which are insufficient to determine precise student performance levels.

To provide us with a workable baseline in the interim, we will be using 2024–2025 Science data for the Science section of Domain 1, as the assessment has been significantly redesigned this year. Due to the reduced number of test questions and the limited reliability within the zone of uncertainty, there is not enough stable data available to confidently incorporate the new assessment results at this time.

Domain 1 Student Achievement Summary and Detail Reports

STAAR Component Details

  • Overview of assessment level totals for all subjects combined at the approaches, meets, and masters levels.
  • Achieved STAAR raw score, associated scaled score, and calculated weighted point value.

CCMR Component Details

  • TEA Verifier file must be loaded as we are only using the verifier file to calculate this component.
  • Great way to compare what is in ODS/TEAL with the list

Domain 1 CCMR Drill Down Detail Report

To see the detailed report, click on the Total Graduate count in the CCMR summary section

  • Drill down to lists of students who have accomplished at least one of the CCMR indicators
  • Drill down to lists of the number of graduates without ANY CCMR indicators
  • Column values will return a ‘Y’ or ‘N’ value for the following items
  • SPED
    Former SPED
    Continuously Enrolled
    NOT Continuously Enrolled
    Grad Status
    CCMR-Achieved at least 1 Indicator
    ELA TSIA
    ELA ACT
    ELA SAT
    ELA CP
    ELA-Achieved at least one
    Math TSIA
    Math ACT
    Math SAT
    Math CP
    Math-Achieved at least one
ELA & Math-Achieved at least one in both ELA and Math
    AP/IB
    Dual Credit Courses
    Industry Certification
    Associates Degree
    IEP
    Military Enlistment
    Aligned CTE

Discrepancy in ODS vs TEAL with supplemental file data

This discrepancy arises because the CCMR methodology includes only students who are in Grade 12 with a Gradation Status of 01. Our supplemental files cannot alter graduation status, resulting in some students being excluded from both the numerator and denominator. Therefore, they must upload their TEA data as the authoritative source, thereby superseding our metrics.

Graduation Rate Component Details

  • Achieved Grad Rate raw score, associated scaled score, calculated weighted score, minimum size requirement, method used to achieve value.
  • Method will be listed as ‘GRAD’ only if TEA 4,5, and 6 year longitudinal cohort files have been uploaded into the file center
  • Method will show as blank and the calculated annual dropout rate will be used instead of TEA 4,5, and 6 year supported data.
  • The better rate of the last 3 years from TEA will be used

Final Scoring

  • Domain scaled score determined by the total weighted points to scale score conversion
  • Performance rating reflective of state scale score to grade conversion
