👤Summary
The Estimated Lost Revenue Due to Absenteeism report estimates the potential district funding impact of student absences. It combines PEIMS attendance and select program participation data (CTE, SPED Mainstream, Bilingual) with district-configured funding rates to estimate lost funding based upon the students Days Absent.
Reporting as 2025-2026 School Year.

- Special Education Mainstream (1.15 weight)
- EB – Bil – Not Dual Lang (.1 weight)

The report provides both campus-level summaries and student-level detail, allowing districts to identify where absenteeism may be having the greatest estimated financial impact.

This report is designed to help district and campus leadership understand the estimated financial impact of student absences.
Common uses include:
- Identifying campuses with the highest estimated funding loss
- Identifying students contributing the greatest estimated funding impact
- Prioritizing attendance intervention efforts
- Monitoring trends across reporting periods
- Sharing attendance impact information with campus administrators

Campus summary student counts provide drilldowns into the corresponding student list, and the report can be exported to Excel for additional analysis or sharing.
🧭Special Notes
- All dollar amounts are estimates only and are not official TEA or Summary of Finance calculations.
- Texas FSP funding loss estimates are based upon the respecitve year defaults/overrides as indicated utilizing the District Funding Rates on the report. If these rates are incorrect for the LEA, please have a Finance Administrator update the rates utlizing the Attendance Funding Rates Override.
- Students are reported based on their summer enrollment campus, even if attendance occurred at multiple campuses.
- District funding rates should be reviewed and updated each year before sharing estimated funding information with campus staff.
- Funding rates are maintained under: Administrator → Overrides → Attendance Funding Rates
- Users with Admin, Finance Admin, or Finance security permissions may update these rates. Other users have read-only access.

Student Inclusion Criteria
Students appear on the report only when all of the following are true:
- Meet the selected Minimum Days Absent threshold (default = 1)
- Have Membership Days greater than zero
- Are assigned to a campus through Summer Enrollment (rec_110_summer)
Days Absent
The total Days Absent (PEIMS E0036) across the selected reporting periods.
Number Days Taught
The total number days taught (PEIMS E0935) across the selected reporting periods.
