HB 1416 EOC Student List

HB 1416 reports are using 2025 STAAR testing data; however, enrollment information is still based on the 2024–2025 school year. Data Sources

  Student Data – Fall PEIMS

  STAAR Data – Prior year and current Year

This report will generate a student list based on the year selected for the selected grade level and will show all students who tested in at least one EOC Test.

Report Display

Displayed results will show all STAAR EOC subjects tested within the selected year side by side and can be filtered in combination with other assessments.

Results by the tested subject can be filtered by

  • Year – default is the latest year STAAR results plus 1 (ex, 22-23 results will filter under year 2023-2024)
  • Campuses – multi-select feature and defaults to all Campuses where student tested.
  • Grade – defaults to all grades and this is the grade the student was enrolled in when taking the test
  • By subject: English 1, English 2, Algebra, US History and Biology – Default is None so all results will display
    • Failed – Low Did Not Meet, High Did Not Meet
    • Passed
    • First Time Tester
    • First Time Tester Failed 
  • Focus List: (optional)

Understanding Codes

First-Time Tester Y or N (yes or no)

Failed Previous Year, Y or N (yes or no)

Low Did not Meet – Y, N, or E (yes, no, or excluded)

High Did Not Meet – Y, N, or E (yes, no, or excluded)

Blank- Has a test passing in another administration, such as Summer

How is a student excluded?

Excluded could be absent, and other or in the December and June Testing files enhanced performance levels are not reported.

To qualify for an enhanced performance level for the spring 2025 STAAR administration, students are required to have had a non-zero STAAR assessment result in both the 2024 and 2025 accountability years

How are hours calculated?

FAQ

Science 8th Grade – Does it look back at 5th grade to calculate hours?

No, it has to be the previous school year according to the flow chart.
