The NWEA MAPS Teacher Growth Report provides a summary of student growth performance by teacher across selected assessments and terms.
This report includes:
- Total number of students tested
- Average RIT Score
- Average Percentile Rank
- Observed Growth (actual student growth between test windows)
- Projected Growth attainment (whether students met expected growth targets)
Data is displayed by subject/test (e.g., Math, Reading, Science) and includes totals across all selected tests.

๐ How to Interpret This Report
- RIT Score Average
- Indicates overall instructional level; useful for comparing groups
- Percentile Average
- Shows how students compare nationally (50 = average)
- Observed Growth
- Measures actual progress between test windows
- A value of 0.00 typically indicates:
- Missing comparison test window OR
- Growth data not yet available
- Met Projected Growth
- Yes / Yes* = Student met or exceeded expected growth
- No / No* = Student did not meet projected growth
- Asterisks (*) may indicate special cases (e.g., partial data or conditional calculations depending on configuration)
- Percent Meeting Projection
- Key performance indicator for teacher effectiveness in growth
- N/A or 0.00% may indicate:
- No growth calculations available yet
- Missing prior or current test window data
