The NWEA MAPS Teacher Growth Report provides a summary of student growth performance by teacher across selected assessments and terms.

This report includes:

  • Total number of students tested
  • Average RIT Score
  • Average Percentile Rank
  • Observed Growth (actual student growth between test windows)
  • Projected Growth attainment (whether students met expected growth targets)

Data is displayed by subject/test (e.g., Math, Reading, Science) and includes totals across all selected tests.

    • Yes / Yes* (met/exceeded growth)
    • No / No* (did not meet growth)
  • Percent of Students Meeting Projection โ€“ Overall success rate
๐Ÿ“Š How to Interpret This Report
  • RIT Score Average
    • Indicates overall instructional level; useful for comparing groups
  • Percentile Average
    • Shows how students compare nationally (50 = average)
  • Observed Growth
    • Measures actual progress between test windows
    • A value of 0.00 typically indicates:
      • Missing comparison test window OR
      • Growth data not yet available
  • Met Projected Growth
    • Yes / Yes* = Student met or exceeded expected growth
    • No / No* = Student did not meet projected growth
    • Asterisks (*) may indicate special cases (e.g., partial data or conditional calculations depending on configuration)
  • Percent Meeting Projection
    • Key performance indicator for teacher effectiveness in growth
    • N/A or 0.00% may indicate:
      • No growth calculations available yet
      • Missing prior or current test window data
