This report is to replace the previous Discipline Data Validation reports that were removed from the 2025 DVM Manual #6 Black or African American Discretionary DAEP Placements and #7 Hispanic Discretionary DAEP Placements.
Summary
This report displays Discretionary Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) placements across multiple school years, broken down by student group (ethnicity). It includes counts, rates, and disproportionality metrics to support monitoring of discipline equity.
Discretionary DAEP placements refer to removals where the district has local discretion under Texas Education Code Chapter 37 and corresponding TWEDS/PEIMS Disciplinary Action Codes, rather than mandatory removals.
