STAAR EOC Accelerated Testers (SAT/ACT)

Summary: This report pulls students who took an EOC subject exam (Algebra I, English II, or Biology) during their 7th or 8th grade year and displays the corresponding SAT or ACT exam scores, highest score achieved across all years.

Usage: Use this report to ensure that students meet the federal requirements for passing the SAT or ACT exam for accelerated testing.

Data Source(s) required:

• Fall and Summer PEIMS records – If summer file exists it will be used first if no summer, latest fall file will be used
  
  • Interchange Student
    • 40100 – StudentExtension Complex Type
  • Interchange Student Enrollment
    • 40110 – StudentSchoolAssociationExtension Complex Type
• EOC Assessment records
  Note: Verify that all relevant current and past results have been loaded in the File Center>STAAR EOC area.
• SAT records
  • Note: Verify that all results have been loaded in the File Center>College Board>SAT area.
• ACT records
  • Note: Verify that all results have been loaded in the File Center>ACT>ACT (High School) area.

Definitions:

• The Year filter selects the group of students based on PEIMS fall and summer reporting. If a student is in either of these submissions, they will be included.
• Most recent PEIMS record for the year (summer first, then fall if no summer)

  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Middle Init
  • Gender
  • Eth/Race
  • Date of Birth
  • Grade
  • Campus
• EOC Subject-Highest Achievement Level
  • Only EOCs taken in 8th grade year
  • Displays subject (Algebra I, English II, Biology) and highest level achievement
• SAT and ACT Scores
  • Score displayed is highest exam score achieved across all years
  • NA indicates the exam is not applicable based on the EOC subject
  • Blank indicates the exam has not been taken for the corresponding EOC subject
    • Note: These are the students who need to take either the SAT or ACT for the corresponding EOC subject
• SAT Math Test Score and ACT Scale Scores Math
  • Only displays score if EOC Algebra I subject taken in 8th grade
• SAT Evidence Based Reading and Writing Section Score and ACT Scale Scores English
  • Only displays score if EOC English II subject taken in 8th grade
• ACT Scale Scores Science
  • Only displays score if EOC Biology subject taken in 8th grade
    • Note: SAT does not have a science component
