Report Location: Staff > Staff Custom Reports > Teacher Retention Allotment (TRA) Reports > Potential TRA Teachers with Multiple Role IDs

Summary: HB 2 established the Teacher Retention Allotment (TRA) for school systems to compensate and retain teachers beginning with 25-26. This report is to provide an audit review of staff reporting multiple Role IDs/Staff Classifications where one of the roles is 087 teacher.

Usage: Review report for staff reporting multiple Role ID/Staff Classifications where one is 087. The Role ID/Staff Classification PFTE is calculated and reported for each staff Role ID. Review Years of experience and Role ID/Staff Classification PFTE to ensure accurate teacher (087) eligibility for TRA (PFTE => .5). *Note each (087) Teacher row is highligted to indicate if they meet the qualifcation.

Reporting as of 24-25 school year for review and projected estimates for 25-26 TRA implementation.

Data Sources: Fall PEIMS records (as of 24-25 school year)

    • 30040 –Staff Domain > Staff Entity
    • 30050 – Staff Domain > StaffEducationOrganizatonEmploymentAssociation Entity
    • 30090 – Teaching and Learning Domain > StaffEducationOrganizationAssignmentAssociation Entity

Definitions:

  • Years Prof Experience – The TotalYearsProfExperience (E0130) as reported on the 30040 (Staff Entity)
  • Role Id/Staff Classification – (E0721) reported on 30090 (StaffEducationOrganizationAssignmentAssociation Entity)

Calculations:

  • Staff included with multiple Role ID/Staff Classification (E0721) reporting. At least one must be 087 – Teacher.
    • The 087 Teacher row is highlighted green if the Teacher meets the requirement of PFTE >= .5
    • The 087 Teacher row is highlighted red if the Teacher PFTE< .5
  • Total PFTE: (Partial FTE) is the per 30090-StaffEducationOrganizationAssignmentAssociation Entity FTE calculated as the portion of the Total Employee FTE that is spent in the specific role. Reference TEA TIPS for Calculating Staff FTEs for details on the Instructional Partial FTE calculation. 
    • Employee FTE determines if full-time or part-time staff and based upon 30050 – StaffEducationOrganizationEmploymentAssociation Entity
      • If the NumberDaysEmployed (E0160) is greater than or equal to 187, the FTE is a the PercentDayEmployed (E0760) divided by 100 (rounded to two decimal places).
      • If the NumberDaysEmployed (E0160) is less than 187, the FTE is (PercentDayEmployed (E0760) / 100) x ( NumberDaysEmployed (E0160)) all divided by 187 (rounded to two decimal places)

Features:

  • Filters: Years -Default is the latest Fall Staff PEIMS year data loaded.
  • Filters: District or Campus – can be run at the district level or for a single campus. Default is district level report.
  • Filters: Years Prof Experience – Default report is all Years of Professional Experience and can be filtered to a subset.
  • Drill down on Tx Unique Staff ID to review Staff Profile of all staff detailed reporting.
