A-F Rating System – Using MAPS

OnDataSuite’s A-F Rating System uses NWEA Maps For Student Achievement in place of STAAR as a predictive model.

NWEA MAP files will need to be loaded in your OnDataSuite. These files are loaded in the File Center -> Other Exams -> NWEA MAP

Student Achievement Domain

The Student Achievement domain evaluates district and campus performance based on student achievement in three areas: performance on STAAR assessments, College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) indicators, and graduation rates. For this Model we are using the Fall to Fall Projected growth Projected Proficiency Level from NWEA MAP data as a predicted replacement for STAAR. Fall to Fall Projected growth is a Beginning of Year (BOY) testing administration. The predictive model will give you a view of what your A-F Student Achievement will look like for that year.

School Progress Domain

The School Progress domain measures district and campus outcomes in two areas: the number of students that grew at least one year academically (or are on track) as measured by STAAR results and the achievement of students relative to districts or campuses with similar economically disadvantaged percentages. For this model we are using the results from the previously calculated Student Achievement Domain using NWEA MAPS as a replacement for STAAR. Note: this model requires two years of NWEA Maps Data to be loaded. This is needed to calculate year to year progress.
