ADSY ADA FTE Summary

Report Location: Student>Student Custom Reports>Attendance Reports>Attendance Summary

Summary: This report is comparable to the PDM4-130-003 – Superintendent’s Report of ADSY Attendance in which various programs with weighted funding in the ADSY extended year reporting are displayed by grade level (PK – 5) for reporting period 9.

Usage: Review current year or prior years’ attendance trends to check for specific ADSY funding issues at the district or campus levels.

Special Notes:

  • All rows and columns include in-person, remote synchronous (RS) and remote asynchronous (RA) values summed.
  • Days Taught row is displayed for informational purposes only.
  • FTE and ADA calculations divide eligible days by 30 rather than by Days Taught and then multiply by 30/180 to generate ADSY additional funding for one-sixth of the school year (additional 30 days of half-day instruction divided by 180 days of instruction.

  • PEIMS Extended Year
    • 42400 – Basic Reporting Period Attendance Extension
    • 42401 – Special Programs Reporting Period Attendance Extension
      • 42405 – Special Education Attendance

Definitions and Calculations:

  • Days Taught = E0935 (Information only)
  • Days Membership = Same as Total Eligible Days since Absences are not reported
  • Total Eligible Days = E0937, E1678, E1679
  • Elig Days Bilingual/ESL = E0938, E1682, E1683
    • Total Eligible Bilingual/ESL Days Present summed for BE, D1, D2 (EL), D2 (EP)
  • BE – Elig Days Bilingual/ESL
    • Students coded Bilingual/ESL Funding Code (E1651, E1680, E1681) = BE and Emergent Bilingual (E0790) = 1
  • D1 – Elig Days Bilingual/ESL
    • Students coded Bilingual/ESL Funding Code (E1651, E1680, E1681) = D1 and Emergent Bilingual (E0790) = 1
  • D2 (EL) – Elig Days Bil Dual Lang
    • Students coded Bilingual/ESL Funding Code (E1651, E1680, E1681) = D2 and Emergent Bilingual (E0790) = 1
  • D2 (EP) – Elig Days Bil Dual Lang
    • Students coded Bilingual/ESL Funding Code (E1651, E1680, E1681) = D2 and Emergent Bilingual (E0790) = 0, F, S, 3, 4, 5

  • Total Refined ADA = Total Eligible Days divided by 30 times 30/180
  • Percent in Attendance = always 100% since absences are not reported
