Ethnicity & Special Program Trends

Summary: Year to year trend line graphs and chart representation for selected ethnicity and special program filters.

Usage: Allows special program administrators at campus and district levels to review participation across years. Also can be used to see how ethnic populations have trended over time. Additionally, can be viewed by PEIMS personnel for data accuracy by comparing multiple years of information.

Data Sources:

  • PEIMS Fall records (for Fall filter)
  • PEIMS Summer records (for Summer filter)
    • Interchange Student
      • StudentExtension Complex Type
    • Interchange Student Program
      • StudentProgramExtension Complex Type

Definitions:

  • SPED – E0794 C088 SPECIAL-ED-INDICATOR-CODE TX = 1
  • Bilingual – E1042 C175 BILINGUAL-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE (Fall Only) = 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5
  • ESL – E1043 C176 ESL-PROGRAM-TYPE-CODE (Fall Only) = 1, 2 or 3
  • LEP – E0790 C061 LEP-INDICATOR-CODE = 1
  • CTE – E0031 C142 CAREER-AND-TECHNICAL-ED-IND-CD = 1, 2 or 3
  • Eco Dis – E0785 C054 ECONOMIC-DISADVANTAGE-CODE = 01, 02, or 99
  • GT – E0034 C088 GIFTED-TALENTED-INDICATOR-CODE = 1
  • Dyslexia – E1530 C088 DYSLEXIA-INDICATOR-CODE (Fall Only) = 1
  • Section 504
    • 2018-2019 and Beyond:
      • E1603 SECTION-504-INDICATOR-CODE = 1
    • Prior 2018-2019:
      • File Center Section 504 – Pre 2019 (Note: ‘ND’ will be shown if no file loaded for a particular year)

Calculations:

  • Percentages are based on dividing the special program or ethnicity count by the total enrollment count.

Filters:

  • Filter by:
    • Fall or Summer PEIMS Submission
    • Multi-select Campuses
    • Multi-select Years
    • Multi-select Special Programs and Ethnicities (can be used to mix and match)
