Potential At Risk Criteria

Report Location: Student>Student Custom Reports>Special Programs

Summary: There are 15 reasons a student might be coded at risk. This report helps identify 12 of those criteria. If a student has at least one of the potential criterion marked as a Y, they will be included in the report.

Usage: Use this report to review reasons why a student might be coded at risk or to identify students who potentially might need to be classified as at risk who are currently not.

Special Notes:

  • Not Enrolled Students can be determined by the As of Status of C, E, or G and a campus number under the Not Enrolled Campus column
  • Criteria not being attempted:
    • is in grade 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 and did not maintain an average equivalent to 70 on a scale of 100 in two or more subjects in the foundation curriculum during a semester in the preceding or current school year or is not maintaining such an average in two or more subjects in the foundation curriculum in the current semester
      • Course grades not reported to PEIMS
    • is currently on parole, probation, deferred prosecution, or other conditional release
      • No coding available
    • has been incarcerated or has a parent or guardian who has been incarcerated, within the lifetime of the student, in a penal institution as defined by Section 1.07, Penal Code.
      • No coding available

Definitions:

  • Only includes students who are in the fall PEIMS submission (both snapshot and not enrolled on snapshot students) and have at least one at risk criterion marked as Y.
  • PEIMS At Risk Indicator Code from the fall submission
    • is included for informational purposes but is not used in the logic for pulling students
    • will be shaded a light red if it is 0
  • Please see At Risk Criteria Definitions for details on how the columns are calculated.
