We have been encountering some recent Ed-Fi issues and wanted to give you some recommendations on what to try first before submitting a ticket:

• If you find that your Latest TEA Ed-Fi IODS pull log is updating every day, but your File Center Ed-Fi API files are not changing dates, please confirm that we are set up as Read-Only All Resources for the claim set name in TSDS. We believe one or multiple SISs changed some of their access coding which exposed that some of our LEAs were set to the SIS Vendor claim set instead of the Read-Only All Resources claim set. Simply create a new claim set for OnDataSuite and input the new key/secret on the TEA Ed-Fi IODS Connection screen.

• If you find that your File Center “Records” on the basic student entities Student>Identification, Student>Demographics, or StudentSchoolAssociation are not close to alignment (much lower numbers in one or more compared to the others), it could be that your SIS did not have all of the data published on the IODS landing zone when your nightly scheduled pull in OnDataSuite occurred. The solution is to either wait until the next day to see if records align more closely in counts, or first complete the process that your vendors utilize for publishing data to the IODS and then run a Full Pull in our system (this should be done on the same day). This should then align all of the records that are being published to the IODS from your vendors to our system. Another suggestion might be to change your scheduled times in either your SIS/ERP vendors or in our system to make sure they are not causing conflicts during the same time. Basically, this is a timing issue. However, if you still have issues after this, please don’t hesitate to submit a ticket.

• As of 10/24/25, the following submission/collection promotions are occurring:

  • Residential Facility Tracker (RFT)
  • State Performance Plan Indicator 14 (SPPI-14) 
• Alternative Methods is now promoting and can be seen on the Fall and Summer Dashboards, in ad hoc reporting for Fall, Summer, and Extended Year PEIMS, and the Fall Enrollment student profile. Summer Enrollment and Extended Year – Enrollment for student profiles and student custom reports will be updated in the near future.

Known Issue: OnDataSuite is reprocessing Full Pulls and Promotions on all LEAs to address missing data this morning. This process will take some time. Please do not initiate Full Pulls or Promotions yourself as it will interfere with the work in progress. Watch for your site to be corrected as our team works through these updates. In Progress. • Known Issue: Fall PEIMS Promotion Staff Responsibilities Entities Missing
  • Certain LEAs/Vendors are not publishing the entity ed-fi/locations. As a result, the data for StaffSectionAssociation is not reflected in OnDataSuite File Center or processing in the Fall PEMS Promotion of Responsibility Records.
    • VERIFY with your vendor this data is reporting in your Ed-FI API to TEA IODS.
    • Update 10/27/2025 – Programming staff are working on a solution that removes the Section-to-Location relationship that the SDK expects so the data can load into our system. We’re making this change reluctantly to work around SIS implementations that aren’t publishing this data correctly to the TEA Ed-Fi IODS landing zone. Update released in OnDataSuite with the 10/31 patch and processing.

• CTE Update: We implemented a new program of study table based on the preliminary file posted here: CTE Programs of Study under Additional Resources: Programs of Study Change Crosswalk (updated Sept 2025)

  • The table now includes new course codes added to TWEDS in 2025-2026 and impacts the CTE code calculation which is used in the CCMR EWS IBC 2026 indicator (CTE Code = 7 for this year). It also impacts CTE funding.

• TEA released a major TSDS IODS update this weekend (TWEDS 9/2/2025) (SDK 2026.2.1 ). Vendors did not receive the technical resources to apply this update until midmorning today.
  OnDataSuite is working diligently to apply the updates and begin the process of reporting updates.
  As updates are applied we will post in the respective area.

• Core Collection CSV Loads
  • We received CSV test files this Monday on the Child Find, SELA, and Class Roster Winter collections and have begun working on our parser to accept these files in the File Center. There is no documenation for these files, therefore they take a bit longer due to mapping out the column headers in the CSV files to the TSDS elements. We do not have an ETA at this time.
• TEA Ed-Fi IODS Connection screen
  • Submission/Collection Schedule: We have added a new Promote column after the Stop Promotion Date column that allows you to run a promotion on one or more submissions/collections. If we have made programming logic changes, and you do not want to wait until the next pull which runs the promotions if the pull is initiated, you can click on this button to apply these updates.
  • Recommendation: If you have data that appears inaccurate:
    • Run the Promote first, if still has issues
    • Run the Full Pull, if still has issues
    • Submit a ticket

• TEA Ed-Fi IODS Connection: Nightly Data Pull Schedule conflict with TSDS with any times in the 1- 2am time slot. – Working to resolve a schedule conflict on the TEA IODS Connection : We will be moving all nightly pulls out of this window as it is conflicting with TSDS either nightly maintenance or LEA’s publishing data at the same time we are trying to refresh your TEA IODS into OnDataSuite. Completed 9/24/2025
  • This issue is causing data to not appear on dashboards that was previously reporting.
    
• Watch for updates as a result of TWEDS 2026.2.1 changes (pending in the TSDS IODS before we can address in OnDataSuite – projected for early October)

• We have begun promoting Class Roster Winter for testing purposes. Both Summer PEIMS and CRW are still in testing phases. Please submit tickets if you now run into any issues.
• Note: If your LEA is using a SIS vendor with TEE, you may not yet see data flowing into OnDataSuite. This is not an OnDataSuite issue — it’s simply because TEE is not yet sending complete data to TEA.

• Ed-Fi Processing is currently disabled. If you see a 2025-2026 file in your File Center>Ed-Fi API tab with red shading, please do not submit a ticket. The programmers are aware of the issue and are diligently working on successfully promoting data for the PEIMS Fall submission.
