Summary of Finance Student Data -Student Funding Detail Reports

The Student Funding Detail Reports are combined by type of student data (ADA, FTE, Counts, etc) to give six weeks reporting and/or funding reporting criteria to aid in Student Data Entry on the Summary of Finance templates.

Initial reporting in ODS was based upon  2019 HB3 legislative funding changes and the reports were rolled out as Student – HB3Funding reports.   As HB1525 and other legislation has impacted School Finance funding and new reports are developed, the complete set of SOF related reports is located in Finance – Summary of Finance (SOF) Reports

  • HB3 Compensatory Education (relocated with new report released Fall 2023) – Fall PEIMS
  • Student Funding Detail Reports are based upon Summer PEIMS reporting:
    • Gifted/Talented (GT) Funding (HB1525) is based upon Summer PEIMS.
    • HB3 Student ADA – Refined, Flex Attend, SPED Mainstrm, Bil, Early Ed, PEG, Res Facility report is based upon Summer PEIMS attendance reporting.
    • HB3 Student Count – Dyslexia Services Report is based upon Summer PEIMS.
    • HB3 Student FTE– Special Ed, CTE, PRS Post 2021 reports require Summer PEIMS data to populate all sections of the report. Reference report notes for specific data elements utilized in the various sections of the report.

HB3 Compensatory Education – Eco Dis/Census Tiers

HB3 Student Compensatory Education – Eco Dis/Census Tiers   (Fall PEIMS file required)

*NOTE: The Census Tiers are mapped during TSDS Fall PEIMS file loads in OnDataSuite(ODS) based upon the Student Census Block Group and the respective year TEA Census Block Tier Mapping file .

  • As of 07/28/2023, ODS has loaded the 2024 file for preliminary estimates on 23-24 SCE funding. Per TEA NOTES tab from the file:
    • The intended purpose of this SCE spreadsheet is for Local Education Agency use for calculating their preliminary State Compensatory Education Allotment (SCE) for the 2024 school year.
    • This spreadsheet cannot be used as a final yearly calculation of your SCE allotment by campus or by district.
    • Only after submission of Fall PEIMS counts are reviewed and reconciled will a new and rebalanced SCE tier to Census Block Group Code spreadsheet be provided for final tier assignments. This means that the list of SCE tier to Census Block Group Code assignment may change later in the year once PEIMS data has been factored in and prior to SCE allotment funding.
  • ODS will watch for TEA’s final 2024 file in March/April 2024 and update this report accordingly.
  • Report Info located under “Tools” include:
    • 2022-2023 updates reflect the default assignment to Tier 5 for Homeless students that qualify for Comp Ed and Residential Placement Facility – parents outside district and student is without disability that qualify for Comp Ed .
    • All other counts reflected are based upon the student’s Fall PEIMS Census Block Group number reported.
      • Fall PEIMS Fatal edits will also impact whether students are on this report or not. 40100-0190 and 40100-0191.
  • Default report view is by Grade level
    • Note report filters by Year, Campus, Grades AND Focus List
  • Toggle to Campus Summary view  (this is the view that matches the TEA SOF Comp Ed Details view).
